Men wear jewelry and it looks good

Posted under Male Fashion by admin on Saturday 9 January 2010

Men’s jewelry has been a controversial subject for a long time, but gladly times have changed and men’s jewelry are now some of the best looking and most stylish on the market. Long gone are the days when men’s jewelry was unimaginable and had to be only functional with zero sex appeal.

In fact, designers never felt that there was any real need for men to wear jewelry as accessories. Today trends have changed so radically, that men with the know-how can pull the perfect look together with the right watch, bracelet and earring or necklace.

One of the latest male fashion accessories are bracelets; titanium and tungsten bracelets to be exact. Titanium and tungsten jewelry has in fact become a hot trend and a must have for men of style and good taste.

Strong, durable and rugged

These three words sum up tungsten and titanium in a nutshell and tells you why these metals are the latest male fashion trend. Until about a decade ago, titanium was the metal mostly associated with the aerospace industry. That is until jewelry designers sat up and took notice of this wonderful metal and the great versatility it brings into jewelry design. Designers favor titanium for although it is such a strong and durable metal, it is easy to shape the metal and they admit freely that neither platinum nor gold can stand up to titanium for purity, versatility and strength.

Tungsten carbide is four times stronger than titanium so it is not surprising that men want tungsten and titanium jewelry as their latest male fashion accessory. Men have often found in the past that they have to remove all jewelry when they work at physically active jobs or participate in intense physical actions. That has now completely changed. This appeals to men greatly for they do not have to keep taking bracelets and rings off and putting them back on.

Great looks, great investment

Men are keen to finally have jewelry are nearly indestructible, does not lose its luster, can be combined with precious stones and are actually much more affordable than platinum. With titanium and tungsten taking over as the latest male fashion trend in jewelry, men’s jewelry has finally come into its own. Men can now have the rugged looks they want combined with stylish design in jewelry that can take whatever is thrown at them.

Style advice for the big 4-0

Posted under Male Fashion by admin on Saturday 21 November 2009

Everyone gets older; it is simply a part of life. The miracle of modern men’s fashion is that all men are catered for from birth to 100 years old in the shade. There isn’t an age that cannot be catered for in a men’s clothing store and it is up to you to find the right, age-appropriate items to add to your changing wardrobe. Get some male style advice is you are clueless.

So, let’s discuss a midlife crisis and the big 4-0; that’s right, you are turning, or have turned, 40 and it is time to adapt where your fashion is concerned. A midlife crisis isn’t so bad, even bad Brad (Pitt) went through one so it is nothing to be ashamed of. However, what you have to realize is that you may not be one of the young bucks anymore, but you are an older bull and still leader of the pack. Here is some male style advice for when the big 4-0 come a-knocking.

Color chameleon

As you age, your hair color changes, your skin tone and color changes and thus the colors you can wear change too. Male style advice about color: even if the cut and fit of a shirt or garment is flattering, if it is in the wrong color it can make you look unfashionable or, heaven forbid, even make you look older than you are.

Don’t act your shoe size

Clothing for different ages varies in style, cut, design and patterning. Edd Hardy may look cool on the younger bucks, but is not such a great choice for a distinguished gentleman in his 40’s. Don’t try to fit in with what your son or son in-law is wearing. Define your own style, act your age and show the world that you do not need the approval of the youngsters.

Find casual clothing that will flatter your shape, your age and your personality. And what if you still have a ripped body at 40, you may ask. Forget it, if you are not 20; don’t wear what they are wearing, no matter how good your body looks for your age.

There is nothing more embarrassing for a child than a father acting his shoe size instead of kitting himself out for his age, not to mention that others won’t think much of it either. Take this male style advice to heart and make some changes to your wardrobe.

The Male Fashion Guide

Posted under Male Fashion by admin on Friday 28 August 2009

Some men are conscious of their looks and make sure they appear in public looking not only dashing but also one in following with the latest trends. However, most men do not bother about how they look and consider fashion as a totally female attraction. This is but not true because much as there is stress on fashion for women, men have a considerable amount of fashion choices that like women’s fashion change according to season and passing years. For those who have not cared until now but wish to follow the bandwagon of fashionable men, here is a guide to help you select the right clothes for your wardrobe this season.

The style selection in 2009 is focused on bold colors, neat cuts and a more masculine look. Put aside the grays and blacks and add some color to your wardrobe. You can go for blues especially French blue and indigo and hues of brown are the colors for the year and if you are daring enough to sport brighter colors, you could add shades of purple, pinks, reds and even orange to your collection. With summer almost gone, it is time to prepare for the fall. Cardigans would serve everyday purposes while heavier cashmere sweaters would be perfect as you approach winter. Chunky sweaters are what we shall be seeing a lot of this winter. So if you don’t have one, you could do by including some in your wardrobe.

Jeans can be worn all year round with sport shirts or dress shirts, tee shirts and can be topped with a blazer and a sweater if required. Narrow cut jeans are the trend this year and in preferable shades of blue especially in darker hues. A mac or a long overcoat can be bought for winter. Military style shirts, jackets and boots are hotly in vogue and can be worn along with one of your slim jeans. Jackets and hoodies in different materials can be a good accompaniment with a shirt. Leather is always a favorite and remains to be in fashion this year too. However a tailor-made cut that reveals the contours of masculine appeal is what is in fashion this winter. So look for some cool body hugging leather jackets that show off your sexy body provided you have one to show.

For formal wear you can look for matching pinstripe suits that are a hot choice this year. Some of you may have these suits from previous years, so here’s the chance to get them out, have them dusted and hung in your wardrobe for use. Slim ties are back in fashion and you could use some brighter colored neckties to add a tinge of color to your outfit. A selection of ties could be worn with a suit to give variations and a different look. Properly tailored dress shirts would be ideal for your suits. Three piece suits in the same color instead of last years mix and matched, double-breasted coats and long coats are in style this season. A pair of good black dress shoes and a black leather belt would do just fine with your suits.
